About the Role

The SRE keeps doctari highly available and reliable for clinicians and partners. This role owns service-level objectives, observability, and incident response for a regulated clinical platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and uphold SLOs/SLIs and error budgets for doctari services.
• Build observability — metrics, logging, tracing — and actionable alerting.
• Lead incident response, postmortems, and reliability improvements.
• Automate toil and improve deployment safety.
• Participate in and improve the on-call rotation.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years in SRE, production operations, or reliability-focused engineering.
• Strong experience operating cloud-native, high-availability systems.
• Proficiency with observability tooling and incident management.
• Solid coding/scripting ability for automation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with regulated or healthcare workloads.
• Kubernetes and infrastructure-as-code experience.
• Capacity planning and chaos/reliability testing experience.

A Day in the Role

Chicago-based hybrid role in the Engineering zone with on-call responsibilities; focus rooms support escalation handling.
